New beginners classes starting early in the new year. Wed and or Thurs lunch times ..please contact to reserve a place or express interest.
NB: The times of lunch time sessions can be altered by consensus and I am quite happy for participants to switch between all classes within reason.

Modified Pilates is an ideal exercise that helps activate and strengthen the muscle systems that stabilise and protect your spine.
Pilates is suitable for people of all ages and can, in particular, help the following:
- Low back and neck pain
- Post caesarean delivery or abdominal surgery
- Pre and post-operative discectomy
- People who wish to improve their posture, stability and control of body movement.
- pelvic girdle, sacro-iliac or symphasis pubis dysfunction
The practice offers accredited Modified Pilates instruction either by one-to-one private sessions or class instruction.
10 weeks of progressive courses of 1 hour duration with an option to continue for a further 10 weeks to intermediate level. Cost £75.
Close supervision is provided hence classes are restricted to 12 participants.
This beginners course is specifically designed to provide the fundamentals of Pilates with emphasis on accuracy and control of movement. The course suits all ages and fitness levels and is particularly beneficial for those with back pain, *pelvic girdle or symphasis pubis dysfunction, poor postures, sports injuries, arthritis and before and after pregnancy*.
On completion of the course you should have aquired body awareness and strength enabling you to be confident to attend one of the many pay as you go sessions in the Harrogate area and be self critical of your performance.
Your course tutor is a Chartered Physiotherapist who is an accredited Matwork level 2 instructor with the Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates Institute. For further information about this style of Pilates please visit www.ausphysio.com
*Pelvic girdle pain / symphasis pubis dysfunction. If you suffer from this debilitating problem it may be appropriate for you to seek advice from this clinic prior to Pilates exercises.
